Long Beach Airport Seeks Development Proposals for 17-Acre Wardlow Parcel

The City of Long Beach, California, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for aeronautical development on a 17-acre site at Long Beach Airport (LGB), known as the Wardlow Parcel, to attract new investment and job creation.

The Wardlow Parcel is next to land owned by the Goodman Company, where two light industrial buildings are planned, following its history with Boeing's C-17 Globemaster III manufacturing. The RFP aims for aviation-related developments that complement adjacent businesses.

Long Beach Airport Director Cynthia Guidry (formerly with LAWA) expressed interest in potential proposals to boost the local economy and job market.

Proposals are invited through the city's vendor portal, Long Beach Buys, with a submission deadline of April 2, 2024. Details are available on the website.
